The Enlightenment

The animals saw a man in the forest. He looked alone and dreary. The bird asked, "You seem to have a problem. May I ask what is it?". "I am not competitive enough to survive in this world." the man said. The bird felt pity on the man, so the bird said, "I'll give you my ability of speed for you to outrun your enemies." "Here's my ability to sense prey and predators." said the snake. And so all of the other animals followed and gave their traits to the man. The man felt glad with what he had so he walked away bearing a seemingly happy smile. The owl then glided in front of the other animals and stated, "I saw a hole inside the man. Like hunger, it will never fill. He will soon search for more knowledge and wisdom until greed for power eats him and destroys his sanity and morality. By that time, you will regret all the things that you've done for the man."

Based on the movie "Apoclypto" .

Humans are born to think, grow and learn. We never really know the true meaning of "enough". We seek for more knowledge not knowing that knowledge is only good for those who know how to wield and control it. After discovering something, we then look for ways to enhance it to the extent that the said discovery will then become obsolete for the new generation. Scientists are finding ways to make life easier not knowing that this also make people patronize sloth and laziness.
